After becoming a new preferred HVAC vendor for MicroGroup, MTECH NE LLC quickly noticed a few opportunities to reduce operational costs for the customer, taking advantage of the local utility energy incentives. The customer chose to proceed with a multi-phase upgrade project. The first phase involved installing a process cooling chiller with “free” cooling featuring stand-alone DDC/VFD controls on the chiller and existing five 25-ton air handling units.
For this project, MTECH NE LLC provided full design and installation services that included general and electrical construction, installation and programming of a stand-alone automation system with remote access and commissioning. In addition, the MTECH NE LLC team handled all of the paper work required to procure the utility incentives that helped fund the project. The result was a energy efficient system with a three year return on investment.
